On the Uyghur Question: A Thread;

The western narrative regarding China is highly embellished, and largely fabricated. The west does not "care for muslims", in fact has caused more suffering to the Muslim population, funding Islamic terrorists that who's main victims are muslims

However, China is itself a capitalist state. It is a dictatorship of the bourgeoisie, a dictatorship of the big bourgeoisie, an imperialist dictatorship. As such, it's population suffers from the same issues as other capitalist states.

Uyghurs are not at all equal to...

A Han-Chinese. They have lower income, lower education, are paid less, have lower living standards etc. Xinjiang, which is meant to be an autonomous region, has because of Bingutan suffered a massive influx of Han Chinese into Xinjiang.

Disproportionate development happened, and that's because that's how capitalism works. Like with blacks and whites in the U.S

In Xinjiang branch of the CPC, Visa all of them are Han-Chinese. The same applies to Bingutan where 86% are Han-Chinese.

Uyghurs definitely lack...

Political representation.

Uyghurs are equal to Han insofar as blacks are equal to whites under the banner of "bourgeois equality before the law."

China has destroyed, altered, and relocated uyghurs graves and historic sites without their consent.

They're by no means equal to Han-Chinese, and that's normal under capitalism.

Also, Chinese affirmative action programmes are not evidence that they're not discriminatory, it's like saying affirmative action in the west debunks racism there.

Dengists love to use neo liberal arguments to support China. Almost like they're not actually defending a socialist country so using a socialist framework to defend it does not work.

So yeah. While we shouldn't buy into the propaganda given by the west, we must not forget that we are communists.

Oppose both dictatorships of the bourgeoisie, and critique them ruthlessly.
