I’ve saved my movie tickets for as long as I can remember. I was glancing through the scrapbook they live in and noticed that 13 years and a couple days ago I was watching Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix so I thought I would share some other cinémá memories

This is from my first date ever! A Christian firefighter drama makes for surprisingly great conversation as we waited in the parking lot for his parents. We sat way too close to the screen. It was perfect.
In the same vein, I got my first kiss EVER during the Eddie Murphy/Ben Stiller comedy TOWER HEIST.
(I wrote the “muh!” on the ticket the night it happened because I didn’t want to forget and yes, the two blue things are meant to be lips).

This was my first R rated sneak in. Absolutely nothing suspicious about seven 15-year-olds buying tickets to see LAST OUNCE OF COURAGE, a patriotic tale of grief, at 9PM on a Friday night. RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION was awesome though.
Before THE FORCE AWAKENS was a twinkle in our eyes, I drug my Dad to a 10:15PM showing of THE PHANTOM MENACE because I saw a commercial saying it was playing “Friday night only.” Star Wars are his favorite. I thought this might be my only chance to see one in theaters with him.
IRON MAN 3 features the *tiniest* scene set in my hometown of Chattanooga, TN so of course I had to give it a shout-out. The note above is about LES MIS.
I saw this on a date and we didn’t get carded! In fact, we got the fancy downtown theater’s “College Night” discount. This old guy walked out at the 2 hour mark. We had an absolute blast for the low price of $5.
I sadly did not pay for my ticket to A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST but I did pay for the chicken sandwiches I snuck in and ate in the back row.
It’s crazy that the ticket couldn’t fit the title FAST & FURIOUS PRESENTS: HOBBES AND SHAW but it did say this which conveys the same message.
