1/ In my world every day is a celebration of books, however, happy official #BookLoversDay to all my fellow literature enthusiasts!
Reading has always been my passion. In fact, it’s quite fitting that it’s today, as today is also the 11th anniversary of my father’s death.
2/ At age 11, my world crashed when I lost him to cancer, however since then I’ve always found comfort in reading books. The ability that they hold to transport you to another world helps you to deal with what is happening in your own. Books are magic and it truly saddens me
3/ that some people don’t understand how important the study of literature is. Books have taught me more than people have - which is why I never doubted that when the time came I’d study literature at uni. Having taught English out in Italy and read books to the children,
4/ I love watching them grow in confidence and holding conversations with them about their interpretations. All of this is why there has only ever been one job that I want in the future - to teach English and work with books full time. Happy reading everyone!!
