The government claims to be “following the science”. But scientists don’t all hold the same opinions and politicians often pick the advice that fits with their ideological leanings. "Behavioural fatigue" is a good example - a concept not recognised by Behavioural Scientists...2/3
..but fitted well with the libertarian instincts of the Tory government and was used to justify delaying lockdown.
