#TopBridgeWorks a thread....
The site is owned by Charles Lewis & Co who are based at Guy Lodge Farm in Enfield. They picked it up for a song
The business has 2 directors, William Hardy and Lewis McEwan. McEwan is based at Guy Lodge Farm, Hardy a short distance away
William Hardy is a welder, and prior to being a director of Charles Lewis & Co, he was a director of a company called North London Auto Recycling
Also based at Guy Lodge Farm is a business called City Carriages. Lewis McEwan used to be a director of City Carriages. Current director of City Carriages is a Lucy McEwan. Given their respective ages, I assume they are husband and wife (could be brother and sister)
A former director of businesses based at Guy Lodge Farm is a David McEwan, who now resides in Spain, who appears to be the father. He has made his money from recycling and composting (he has also had businesses in Spain)
The one thing that connects all of these people is recycling. In other words, they deal in crap. What is #TopBridgeWorks full of? Yes, crap
Charles Lewis & Co's latest accounts show fixed assets valued at £76,000 (I assume this is Top Bridge Works) and they owe creditors (the creditors are the company directors, i.e. Hardy and McEwan) £80,000
So in summary, the people that own the company that owns #TopBridgeWorks deal in crap, have a track record of pissing off planners and authorities, and 'mysterious fires' plague properties they are involved with
And there is a bigger picture here. North Staffordshire has become a target for the illegal dumping of waste, and much of this may be from outside the area
And there have also been incidents in Longbridge Hayes, Brindley Ford, and Rudyard
So as well as trying to protect one of the city's most important heritage assets, we've also got ourselves an environmental challenge
All of this is from around half an hour's digging. There may well be more to come....

End.
