I'm a straight white male so I'm sure everyone agrees when I start this by saying, my opinion compared to most? Not important

But short answer, no. I feel this phrase is used in an almost propaganda-ish way. Basically, it's used to push people away from the idea of romance until https://twitter.com/noelle_souter/status/1292306075111362560
they are in a better head space in order to love someone more fairly and 'correctly' - which I think is good in *theory*.

But ultimately, love isn't this cookie cutter thing. Our generation has ruined it more than previous generations have. Despite the consensus, I think love is
SIMPLER than people our age give it credit for.

Us and the individuals we love? Different people. This is like saying "you can't love your mom until you love your dad". That's nonsense. Different people receive different degrees of love. If your intent is to love someone to the
best of your ability? Make it known they're loved? Push each other daily because you want them to grow and grow alongside them? Then you've already got it more right than most people

There's no 'right' time or head space for love. I think it's more in one's character and intent.
