To share my two cents on this current discussion.

I understand that this makes some people uncomfortable... but what more can they do? No website to my knowledge has a flat-out "no pedos" rule because that doesn't seem like a thing that can be practically enforced. https://twitter.com/thoughtfulfand1/status/1291982361433747462
Pedophiles use the internet like everyone else does. If any site made a "no m*ps" rule, pedophiles would just join the site regardless, but would keep quiet about being a pedo. So the point that making a "no m*ps" rule will only create a false sense of security makes sense.
If they say "no m*ps," pedos will still join the site anyway. They just won't label themselves as such. Then people will be interacting with pedophiles not knowing that they're pedos, and that's a scary thought too.
I hate that there's a "m*p community" on Twitter, it makes me uncomfortable. But even if tomorrow Twitter said "no pedos," pedophiles would STILL be on this site, they just wouldn't be open about it. I hate that they're here, but at least they label themselves so we can block.
Also if Twitter can't do much about the occurrence of a "m*p community" on their site or has never directly addressed the situation, idk why people have greater expectations for a smaller team running a newer site. :/ That doesn't seem very fair-
I think they're stuck between a rock and a hard place, but doing what they can with the resources and tools that they have.

I just don't see any practical solution here, that's all.
If you're still uncomfortable with the site because of this, I understand and I sympathize with you. But at the same time, I don't know what more Fanexus (or any public social media site) could do about it, since this is a problem on other sites (tumblr, twitter) as well.
I'm gonna mute this because discussions of the "m*p community" makes me uncomfortable so I don't want to talk about that bit any further. Thanks for being understanding
