Thread: Josh Allen escapability thread. There are a lot of free blitzers in this thread that don't end up getting a hand on him. Allen is witty with how he baits defenders into thinking they have him dead to rights.
Let's kick it off with one of the best safeties in the league coming in unblocked. Adams does exactly what you can't do with Allen which his come in too hot
Looping lineman comes in free and is thinking he has an easy sack. Allen is looking at his receiver but fully aware of where the pressure is coming from / when to bail on the pocket, sneaky. A would be sack ends up being a 6 yd gain on 1st
Ohhh man do I love this play. Adams comes in free on the blitz again, Allen sees it, keeps his eyes downfield and uses his tackle on the outside to block Adams path to the QB. He hits Singletary downfield for 13 yds. Problem solving on the go.
I love Josh Allen. He turns around off the PA to 3 defenders in his face, finds a way out, and ends up putting a LB in the dirt with a stiff arm. Distaster turns to 4 yds At the end of the play he gets up and gives him a tap on the helmet. Just a fierce competitor and good dude
You've all seen this play a million times but it only gets better with age. Defender got absolutely dusted. Again, he makes the blitzer think he has him dead to rights with his eyes and then shakes him
hahaha someone make this lineman's ankles a gif pls
Next victim is Carlos Dunlap - ideally you don't give him a free run at the QB on 3rd & 17 but this ends up as a first down
Forget the athleticism, Allen is 6 foot 5 237lbs, he's not an easy tackle regardless. Geno Atkins missed him twice this game
This ends up as a 3 yards gain. Another mitigated disaster of a play. Never fun watching these plays go down live
Another loop comes in free, Allen just tucks it and runs for 11 yds
How he's able to operate in some of these chaotic pockets I have no idea. Sometimes it gets the best of him in terms of decision making, but most of the time it just turns to a 4-5 yd gain
3 minutes left down in the 4th, multiple defenders get their hands on him, spins out and picks up the 1st
Another free blitzer made light work. The pump fake sends JC Jackson to the moon, ends up picking up 16 yds
Lineman was losing his balance anyways but love the smooth jump step and a bullet from Allen
I have no idea how you remain calm with Fletcher Cox 3 inches away from your face, but he escapes his grasp, picks up 14 yards and ends up calling timeout mid slide with 2 seconds left on the clock to setup the FG. Clutch.
DE plays the bootleg perfectly he just can't compete w/ Allen in open space
Another free blitzer, another shake & bake. This ends up going incomplete but actually not a bad toss
Jamie Collins is a hell of an athlete and he ends up looking lost after the reverse pivot. If Garrett isn't rushing vertically Allen probaby makes his way up field
Josh Allen rocks. This is a sack 99 out of 100 plays, instead it should've been a 20+ yd gain
The entire D line

Another 3rd & long turned into 1st down on 2 missed tackles
The guy just has a knack for turning disastrous situations into 1st downs
