Think about this one. Nine days of alcohol induced partying (lowers resistance) with 1/4 million people. You have a 99% chance of contacting someone with covid. with no masks or regular handwashing, chances greatly increase of getting infected. At 5%, that is 12,500 infected. https://twitter.com/PatiKRoll11/status/1292244512400527360
That is at a single one day event. 9 days would be 112,500 infections. Nobody would know for up to 2 weeks. So those 112,500 would disperse all across the country.
It is estimated that one person will spread up to 30 other people.
So that single event with no proper protection
could ultimately lead to a total of 3,375,000 cases around the country.
Right now we have 5 million cases. This single event would increase that by 67%.
@ASlavitt do these numbers hold up?
