Nofap thread:

The biggest problem of our generation is instant-gratification.

We turn our back towards real meaningful activities and look towards cheap pleasures.

Everywhere you look is full of promiscuoity.

These artificial pleasures distract us from real connections.
To start off let's analyze the ABC's of behavior

Antecedent- what triggers the behavior

Behavior -the actions you take

Consequences - the results of the behavior
Antecents. This is probably 80% of the equation to fix porn addiction.

Remember what happens whenever you're about to watch porn. Is it that you're in front of your laptop? What time does this usually happen? What state of being are you in? Pic related.
A trick that I like to use whenever I'm feeling like crap is to simply be in the moment.

We often times want to change our experience if we're feeling uncomfortable.

Fully experience exhaustion and fatigue. This is nature's way of telling you you need rest.
Plan what you're going to do whenever you're hungry, angry, lonely, or tired.

It is really useful to have a schedule where you plan out when you'll have rests and times where you'll have fun.

This will help prevent you from just resorting to tapping out of boredom.
Know the environment that enables your bad behavior.

For me I like to be on my phone while in bed, so I make sure to keep my phone on the other side of the room.

For the B in behaviors we're looking to swap fapping with something else. It's a lot easier to swap out behaviors than it is to remove them.

Activities instead of fapping:
Sleep
Excercise
Cold shower
Journaling
Masking music (my personal favorite)
Cig
Vidya game
Consequences

Write down a list of pros and cons for fapping
And
Write down a list of pros and cons for nofap

This will allow you to evaluate your behaviors and reconsider relapsing everytime you face temptation
Don't punish yourself if you relapse. Punishment is more damaging for behavior change than encouragement is.
