So painting and drawing is one of the many things I am really good at, I can say it's my major talent but it has been so long since I did any art work.
I did a lot in primary and secondary school and I mostly dealt with pencils, poster and watercolors.
Watercolors are dope

But since I entered the university, I have done not much again and my dad always kept disturbing me about it.
The truth is that my last focus was on pencil portraits and I was really good at it but it was boring for me, like everyone was doing it and it just felt not ME.

So the reason why I stopped was because I did not know how to start my own style like what was I going to be doing differently.
But during this forced holiday a lot of inspiration came to me
. In the course of doing something that was just blaaaah, I found my yay
.

So when I went to UTC, I went to buy to buy a set of pencils because I forgot mine in school, I bought a lot that day. Art is expensive.
I bought a tripod stand, drawing board, different types of paper, I found mono zero eraser 5k, no one told me to drop it.

So I wanted to get Acrylic paint because it is really close to poster and water that I have used before.
I have seen oil paint but I know you have to use a medium and it just felt off to me, like I never done it before so I had no intention of buying it.

In the shop I met Femi, currently a very wonderful friend
. He really helped me out and told me to get oil paint, I was like no thank you.
Eventually I got it o, eight 180ml tubes, my money
.
I was like how bad can it be I will check how to use it on YouTube .

Oil paint is the best kind of paint in this world, nothing beats it.
I watched the YouTube and learnt how to use it and painted a portrait with it.

A day after I went to UTC , I started drawing my gridlines, I didn't use gridlines when drawing pencils portraits before so it was something new and a little exciting.
After drawing the lines and my outline, my excitement got exhausted

I never went back to it. that was when I started watching YouTube videos on oil paints and how to mix to get skin tones, mediums to use and all.
I got a grasp of it, and proceeded to do a land scape work, it was a really big flop
. I used the wrong side of my paper.

Hmmm, I hope you are not tired of reading already
.
Burnt sienna, burnt umber, yellow orchre, white, blue, velvet .
I mixed a little bit of all these and was a get different skin tones and proceeded to put it on paper

So I talked about my style, my style shines, like literally
. But enough of that I don't want to give you too many ideas, it's a surprise
.
It was not easy sha, I almost gave up on it, you know when it doesn't turn out the way you imagined.

Fortunately, I was able to find a way around it and create that image in my mind.
I would love show you a picture of this image but I finished in the night, and I would love to take a picture of it in natural night.

I showed my dad the finished work and I could see his pupils dilate, he was so excited, '' I told you you are talented and could do it, just look at this, so incredible''
My dad is my biggest supporter, and has played a essential part in terms of my art journey.
I love him

He has promised to do something for me monthly, I won't write what because my siblings are on this app
.

My mom has been wonderful too, giving the widest smile every time she sees my work
.

My love for creating. colours in a tube, lines on a paper, mixing colours on palette, creating new colours, applying it on paper and creating the image in my head.
I love love love, literally the best feeling.
So I am going to be sharing it with you tommorow
