Unpopular Opinion: $OTRK is not the next $LVGO. Take the money and run.

-The AI seems to be as sophisticated as flagging relevant medical claims, then assigning the individual to a nurse whose job is to convince them to enroll in Ontrak, an outpatient treatment program.
-The website only features 1 case study with client participation, Humana.

-The Humana case study claims to significantly reduce costs associated with substance abuse. Substance abuse is a huge problem. This is an expensive population with poor outcomes
-If $OTRK significantly improves health outcomes for people struggling with substance abuse, it would change the world.

-Instead, $OTRK has 1 case study featuring an insurer who may not even be a client anymore. The logo is not featured on Ontrak’s website.
-$OTRK has 4 other case studies. None feature a client. $HCAT has hundreds.

-I write case studies professionally. I’ve never written a case study without the participation of a client. One of the first steps to a good case study is identifying a customer with a compelling story!
-$OTRK also offers treatment programs for anxiety, hypertension, diabetes, and chronic pain. There is nothing unique or unusual about an outpatient treatment program for these conditions. Your local hospital probably offers classes.
-Ontrak treatment includes in-person or virtual therapy, medication, and coaching from a nurse, according to the case studies. I’d love to hear from medical professionals, but this doesn’t seem particularly new or special.
-$LVGO collects data to provide personalized recommendations. I can’t find any AI-powered solutions from $OTRK, except whatever software they use to flag relevant medical claims.
Note: I am a $LVGO bull. But I really, really wanted to like $OTRK.

This is probably my last rant about $OTRK. My last deep left me with unanswered questions, but I’ve learned everything I need to.
