Last night, two men attacked a Portland protest with pipe bombs. Portland Police have been purposefully encouraging this kind of violence for months. They lie constantly, in this case falsely claiming protesters threw concrete, and they know exactly who their audience is.

When they tweeted a threat against children last week, they caught the attention of far-right propagandist Andy Ngo. Here's a couple of the comments from Ngo fans

Ngo, for his part, is pushing a conspiracy theory that last night's bomb attack was fake... And his fans of course respond by calling for the protesters to be killed

Every single time the Portland Police tweet lies about the protests, they attract commenters calling for extreme violence against the protesters. PPB knows exactly what it's doing. It is encouraging terrorist violence against protesters and it is doing it on purpose.

Important context here is a long history of PPB collaboration with the far right. To take just one example, PPB Lt.
