When I started working at Tesla, everyone was doing everything. An e-mail went out asking for Merch ideas. So I made this IPad sleeve as a suggestion. The point is I was one of 6000 employees who would do anything to see Tesla succeed. Which is why I‘m long $TSLA - since 2012.
Jerome interviewed me for both positions. Back then you could also write to Elon and get a reply. It was awesome but hard work. I‘m better off for the experience I gained there.
I met Elon in Fremont twice, as we were invited to share best practices as we consistently made targets. We did our intros (10 Sales Managers). He asked me about my path at Tesla. I got nervous, said I‘d started as a junior, then worked my balls off to get to location manager.
He laughed. I laughed. We all laughed. I kept my job.
