The Brighton youngster had limited games last season only playing 9 games, starting 7 of them.
Let’s have a look at why he’s likely to get more game time next season and could be a worthy FPL asset!

- Although he’s played limited minutes, Lamptey has been very impressive for Brighton at the end of the season.
- He’s help Brighton secure 2 clean sheets (Norwich & Newcastle).
- Only standing at 5ft4” his aerial duels are his weakness with 27% won

- Winning 55% of his ground duels and averaging 1 tackle with 1.8 interceptions. These stats may not seem brilliant, but we have to remember the 19yr old is just emerging into first team action.

- Although he’s a defender, his has strong attacking outlet. He even played as a wing back in a 3-4-1-2 against Burnley. His overall passing accuracy is 84% which includes 13% crossing.
- Although he only got 1 assist, he created 3 big chances!

- I’ve priced him at £4m. He’s only 19 and started only 7 games last season. He’s definitely worth a look at to enable those premium player prices and appears to in favour for the right back position!

- Lamptey is clearly in favour for the RB at Brighton, with already dipping into the transfer market I think they could improve their table position in 20/22.
- He will likely be a bench player for FPL but form/fixture dependant he could well start for you!
