Do you contribute?

No not your relationship

I'm talking about your investment accounts

Contributions will do more than you think

I'll show you in

"Contributions Explained"

- A THREAD -
1.

Before getting started

Let me explain what a contribution is

This is the act of adding money into your investment account
2.

Most people start with anywhere from $100-1000

And that's completely fine!

But growing with this amount can be a bit tough

Let me explain...
3.

- Scenario 1 -

Imagine you have a $1000 account

Let's say you also have a great year and grow your account by 50%

This is great and all

But you only made $500 (not knocking this at all)...
4.

- Scenario 2 -

Imagine you start with that same $1000

But you add $250/month into your account while only making 20% (still great)

You'd end the year with $3200

Much more manageable right?
5.

For most 20% is much more manageable than 50% in a year

Now I know some of you are saying

"But JT if I make 50%/year over 10 years then I'll be winning!"

Let's do some more math 😉
6.

After 10 years of making 50% yearly

Our person in scenario 1 will have an amazing $57,665,04

That's pretty impressive right?
7.

After 10 years of making 20% yearly while contributing $250/month

Our person in scenario 2 will have...

$84,067.18

Now that's quite a beautiful number...
8.

Again, I know someone is telling themselves that I'm wrong because the person making 50%/year will come out on top

How many people do you know will be able to make 50% yearly?

For the majority

20% will always be more manageable vs 50%

And that's the truth
