A THREAD ON SUSHANT'S FAMILY:
Sushant has the coolest family & here's why- his 4 elder sisters have raised him to be the soft-spoken, intelligent, & humble man we all fell in love with.
His passion of science & sports is thanks to his sisters. #SushantSinghRajput #Warriors4SSR
Though born in Purnea district in Bihar, Sushant comes from a progressive middle-class family. His sisters Neetu, Meetu, Priyanka, & Shweta all excelled at academics, & have all played a key role in shaping his mind & interest in subjects such as physics & maths.
From riding a bike, to driving a car, to reading physics books - all was taught to him by the 4 sisters. Eldest sister, Neetu didi, who is a doctor by profession, taught him all about physics - he devoured those books as an adolescent.
We all know about his miraculous work in the MS Dhoni biopic. His passion for bettering his cricket game and those skills are all thanks to Meetu didi, a professional cricketer. She also taught him how to ride a bike and drive a car.
Priyanka didi and her husband Siddharth are well-known practicing lawyers while Shweta is an entrepreneur and realtor in the US. The sisters were given a freehand at following their dreams and pursuing the careers and partners of their choice.
His favourite subject was physics & grew up wanting to become an airforce pilot.
His fascination for the moon comes from his mother, whom he lost at age 16. Sisters continued to be his support system. Being the youngest of all siblings, he was also pampered by his brother-in-laws
Seeing so much paid media racism in works talking about the "family from Bihar" as if it's the first time ever in the history of this country that someone from the state has achieved anything meritorious.
Sushant was the 7th rank holder in all India engineering entrance exam. He dropped out of Delhi College of Engineering only 2 semesters short of completing his degree. His father was supportive of his choices whether he chose to be a background dancer, TV actor or Bollywood star.
He also gave up a scholarship with Stanford University to take up the role in Kai Po Che which released 2013. He's been selfmade in every way - from buying his first bike with money earned from giving tuition to engineering students to his childhood dream Maserati.
And yet he said money never was a differentiating factor for him. He was brought up that way - to value life and all its experiences above the greed for money. He remained picky of work to be fair to his inner being and his life values.
Sushant lived-in with his former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande for over 6 years and dated other women so wonder why paid media stories would be hellbent on purporting that his family doesn’t approve of ‘girlfriends’.
A National Olympiad Winner in Physics, he visited NASA to prepare for his role of an astronaut in Chanda Mama Dur Ke. In 2019, he also fulfilled his dream of spending a day at CERN. Even the international media found him charming.
Sushant was looking forward to training at NASA's moon mission in 2024. He also wanted to also study abroad and take up to organic farming, which his father was happy about and supportive of.
In Sushant's own words, cities may be big or small but people are never big or small. Your dreams decide if you are big or small. Coming from Bihar doesn't make you a non-progressive family. Similarly, despite being born in a big city, one can be absolutely fraudulent.
When he's not here to defend himself, his family is rightly fighting for his justice - they don't need a certificate from fake/paid media to pursue a case, which unfortunately has a woman as prime accused. Crime is gender neutral & they aren't misogynists for seeking justice
They may have been born and raised in Bihar, but their mindset is global and modern. They believed in giving Sushant his space and didn't interfere in his live-in life even as his girlfriend's family took 'live-in' to another level by splurging all his hard-earned money.
If our birthplace and economic situation solely defined who we are meant to be and what we're likely to achieve in life, then Oprah Winfrey, Stephen King, and India's Ambani should have remained poor and insignificant.
Sushant's family is all private people, spiritual people, and they haven't made any wildly-accusatory claims even when they could have. The FIR is a legal process of reporting an act of crime and must be respected. They have backed all their claims with facts.
Also, if you're a feminist upset about the accused woman's "witch-hunt" maybe, also consider that there are four other strong women - Sushant's sisters, who have been wronged - and you could fight for. #DishaAndSSRCaseLinked #JusticeForSushantSinghRajput
