Good morning everyone! I hope you all are having a great start to your weekend.

A couple of things re: yesterday’s tweets on parenting and surgery.

I normally try not to engage trolls on Twitter or people who are being provocative or rude.
However, I think it’s important to engage some questions in order to have an open discussion and bring to light what many women are told behind closed doors.

What I wanted to point out by engaging in the question of “who’s raising” my kids is boundaries.
So often, our boundaries are violated without a second thought. All of our choices are questioned:

Hijab: omg, you’re oppressed!
Bikini: omg, you’re naked and unprofessional!

Family planning:
No kids: you’re selfish
Lots of kids: why so many, who’s taking care of them.
We cannot win.

People need to understand BOUNDARIES.

Unless we feel comfortable enough with you to talk about these things, guess what?

It’s not your business.
Stay in your lane.
And I want to you all to know that you’re not obligated to answer any of these questions. Shut them down as you see fit.

No one has the right to your personal information.

You have nothing to prove.

And you don’t have to justify your decisions to anyone, unless you choose to.
Now, I’m gonna go see about my feral children!

A blessed weekend to you all!
