The Bible’s metanarrative deconstructs all human cultural narratives—because they are deeply broken—critiquing them but not always condemning them because of the imago Dei.
The world of the biblical story is not content with wholesale deconstruction, however. Through its varied genres and forms of literature, it works to reconstruct for readers/hearers a wholly other worldview marked by hope, new life, grace and truth...
...with Jesus the resurrected King at the center of the story. All sinfully broken human narratives find their ultimate redemption and completion in and through Jesus’s metanarrative.
