What do people think of the age based digital divide? Educated, senior people who aren't able to figure out every new app, banking, services online and are often subjected to fraud? To whom, its too many buttons, several confusing instructions. #digitaldivide
Bankers being unhelpful, "servers that are down" , "give your OTP", form is online, "check the website"? GoI is constantly forcing us to use apps (positive in some ways) but nobody spends time on training, teaching if its not youth for jobs. #digitaldivide
All the ministers pushing #DigitalIndia far too often rely on assistants to figure out their smart phones for them. Do they not see the struggle? Who trains our parents, grandparents? Why are people invisible if they are over 60?
Identify theft is so common amidst the elderly. It can be overwhelming for anyone, even young, educated ones are so unaware of online security and privacy. How does one have that conversation about seniors? #digitaldivide
