Juventus just sacked Maurizio Sarri but was he really at fault? Let's breakdown Juventus' team structure a bit.

A lot of vital players are past their peak. To make it worse, there is not a lot of young exiting talent coming through apart from De Ligt and Bentancur.
Where do Juventus' goals come from?

This xG+xA per 90 plot is not very surprising. Most of the goal contributions coming from the frontline with negligible contributions from the midfield and the fullback.

Not a very sustainable system.
Now looking at the open play shot creating actions for detailed look.

Again, Juventus' frontmen carry most of the load here. Ramsey is the only midfielder producing goods but he's been injured for long periods. Alex Sandro has been poor offensively.
Now taking a look at how Juventus progress the ball through passing.

The defenders take the burden, as is the case with most teams. Pjanic shines high here, as he plays the focal point in this Juve team to initiate every move.

Dybala's role is very intriguing.
Now looking at how Juve players carry the ball for progression.

The wide players take this role for most teams and it can be observed here. Rabiot hasn't been a consistent performer but his performances have been on a rise ever since football's resumption.
Who are the Juve players most suited to play under pressure?

In Sarri's system, it is usually efficient to invite pressure in order to create spaces for teammates and midfielders shine here with Bentancur coming out on top. Matuidi is extremely low here.
How Juventus distribute pressures among the squad?

The forwards are very low on here, especially Higuain and Cristiano. This has created a divide in the roles of players, as the workrate expectedly is low in an aging squad.

Sarri-ball has not been implemented in the slightest.
Looking at the players who lose most possession.

Dybala coming out on top isn't a surprise since he is their only real creative outlet. Ronaldo is surprisingly low here. Rabiot shines, yet again.
Finally, taking a look at Juve's ball winners.

Rabiot and Bentancur shine here. The fullbacks are pretty low here. Not a lot of defensive effort shown my the forwards, especially the wide players.
Final Thoughts:

Bentancur and Rabiot come out as the only midfielders who fit Sarri's style. The attacking output from the fullbacks and the midfield is extremely low. This has left a divide in the squad with forwards not contributing to defence.
With the aging players and players not suiting Sarri's philosophy, Juventus have had a hard time achieving success particularly in Europe. Firing Sarri without letting him build his own squad is a poor decision from Juventus board followed by a poor transfer strategy.
