i just wanna start off by saying that this thread won't be all inclusive because the culture is extremely diverse and I'll try to cover as many niche areas as possible
the music of India includes multiple varieties of classical music, folk music, filmi, Indian rock, and Indian pop.

i am trying not to make this thread very technical, but Indian, or more inclusively, desi music is very scientifically developed, and researched.
The two main traditions of Indian classical music are Carnatic music and Hindustani music.

and tala (rhythmic patterns used in percussion). Its tonal system divides the octave into 22 segments called Shrutis, not all equal but each roughly equal to a quarter of a whole tone of the Western music.

in conclusion, Indian music, and the culture and the heritage, is not something to make fun of. if you're not associated w the music, don't say anything unless you're educated. expressing opinion is one thing, and mocking something when YOU are the uneducated person is another.
i just wanted to clarify something, the term Indian, should've been more inclusive, something like south Asian, bc almost all south Asian countries have similar cultures more or less. i am sorry for that.
