i was in the similar condition like mikasa to eren. go around saying that i was his "bestfriend" and we couldn't be more than that. but deep inside we know that we crave for each other's existence, but not as bestfriends.
that what makes me think that happens with eremika. no, especially with mikasa to eren. she always thinks that's the safest way for her to explain why she loves him so much that it starts to confuse other people who know them.
unfortunately chapter 123 isn't the only chapter where mikasa declared that her relationship with eren is only faimilial.w
we also got this panel.
this moment is really a highlighted moment of eremika. mikasa was so sincere and i was surprised she was able to tell eren this speech. this is much much better than a plain declaration that she loves him. this describes their relationship so well.
then that moment resulted this. eren was so desperate but after seeing mikasa being all honest and sincere with her feeling. he was so fired up, and i can tell he was also surprised. (i already talked abt this on my eremika bond development thread)
the same familial-answer moment happened again but this time, two of them already understood each other's feelings. but mikasa is still in denial. that's why she still gave the same answer. f a m i l y.
nice timing for the interruption, guys!
aaa maybe that wasn't the case. maybe eren referred to the others who came right when the welcoming party was about to start. and that was what he meant by nice timing.
