I did have a benefit that Buck did not - I met a trans woman when I was 16 and she helped me get started as soon as I could. But I was kicked out of that house two months later for not understanding hints and social cues, and for quitting my job after they kept scheduling me to
work when I had appointments (once a month with my psychiatrist, twice a month with my therapist, twice a month with an electrologist), all of which I had to pay for. My family claimed to support me but refused to help me in any monetary sense. I lost my pre-transition friends.
There was good and bad, but what I came away with was the belief that no trans person regardless of gender should have to go through what I did, and I didn't have it as bad as many others. After my parents tried to convince me I was a boy when I was *four years old* I hid all of
it even though it was constantly bursting at the seams, hurting every single day, thinking about dying every single day to escape, even after I knew there was a way forward (transition). My life wasn't unrelenting misery, but it was pain. Pain because I couldn't be myself.
Pain no one should ever have to endure. Pain that doesn't have to be. Buck doesn't care that other trans people still have to endure this. Instead he spreads the lie that kids are being forced to transition. He promotes conversion therapy for trans kids, despite having been one.
Buck and Glinner got along pretty well, as it turns out. Buck believed Glinner's lies because honestly they're directly in line with his own incorrect beliefs about how the world works.
It's well documented that Buck outed Lana Wachowski as revenge for her and his ex-wife getting together.

Buck's experiences did not have to make him turn out this way. A lot of trans people within a similar age bracket do not hold the many toxic views he spreads about trans people, trans women specifically, and nonbinary people specifically. It's not a function of age, it's *choice*
Until he can become better he can fuck right off with his condescending "tranpa" bullshit. The trans community has many better elders than he'll ever be, who have done far more for the trans community than he ever has or ever will.
Should this thread cross Buck's sight, I suggest he not pal around with Glinner, praise a toxically antisemitic, misogynist, and transmisogynist terf, or promote conversion therapy for children on the basis of GC lies if he doesn't want to be seen as transphobic or a terf.
Just one more thing: The SEGM website mentions autism and ADHD as if they're confounding factors for trans kids. No reputable research on trans kids, nor any reputable medical professionals working with trans kids, see ASD or ADHD as contraindications for being trans.
