Global Alliance to Combat Trafficking in Women (GAATW) 2018, documents the strategies used by sex workers& their organizations to prevent and stop violence, coercion, exploitation in the sex industry, including cases of human trafficking.

It makes it clear that sex workers need to be seen as key
partners in the fight against human trafficking.
Although they work in different settings etc, sex workers' organizations interviewed by GAATW take the same approach to supporting sex workers. .
Each of these organizations manages a space that serves as an accessible support center where community members can share food, build friendships, and discuss issues of concern to them
They can also access a range of services, from language classes to support groups, counseling, and health services. All organizations also conduct outreach work with sex workers - listen, advise, and refer to specialists, depending on human needs.
