Everyone is capable of running their mouth and accidentally saying things that they don't mean in the heat of the moment. Face it, we've all done this.

I will judge based on actions, not on words.
Shoma: "I don't like dogs"
Also Shoma: Toro is now the love of his life
Shoma: "I don't like girls my age"
Also Shoma: has good relationships with female figure skaters who are close in age to him
Shoma: "I don't like cats"
Also Shoma: plays with cashew uwu
Shoma: "I hate vegetables"

Well. This one is true.
Especially when you're going through a mental health crisis is when you're most likely to say things without thinking. And Shoma definitely went through something last season. If I recall correctly, he also mentioned his own really negative feelings towards himself.
I think he's in a much better place now.
