I'm gonna make a thread about key resources that I encountered as I researched Xinjiang/Uyghur accusations. Nothing bad is happening at all. Here's the proof:
Some Western media outlets mistranslated some words during creepy ass guided tours where every 'student' has a forced smile 100% of the time and has clearly been told what to say. I have no comment about how the tour is obviously a propaganda set piece.
Some people posted videos that are misattributed to Xinjiang when they're not actually from there. I'm somehow extrapolating from this that EVERY Uighur and Kazakh who has spoken of the repression experienced by their families/themselves is a fake CIA/terrorist psyop.
Some Muslim-majority countries went on creepy ass guided tours then said 'everything was fine', so that means it is. I can't think of any reason why they might value their economic and diplomatic ties with China over a minority population there just b/c they share a religion.
After all, I normally trust what the government of Saudi Arabia tells me, why would I stop now?
Did you know that Adrian Zenz is a bad & dishonest actor? That means that literally everything on the topic is tied to him and therefore discredited, even when there are no ties to him and the source is a Chinese government website.
Our team supports China, therefore nothing bad is happening. I don't draw conclusions based on evidence, like thousands of ethnic minority people telling me of their plight; rather, I do what my team tells me to do.
Here's a link to articles from Chinese state media, which is obviously a reliable source. I'm going to leave out the 'state' part, though, and act like there is no issue with linking to what a state itself says about an ethnic minority accusing of it of abuses.
Here's another link to Chinese state media interviewing the family member of a purported victim who says everything is fine. I see nothing possibly coercive about this situation which is analogous to an accused murderer interviewing a family member of their victim at gunpoint.
Maybe next I'll 'totally debunk' one or two victim testimonies and then ignore the thousands of others. There's so many that even if 90% of them were fake, the other 10% is still overwhelming corroborating evidence. I don't care though lol.
Oh, also, did I mention they're all terrorists, and thus even if I do find myself in a sticky situation where I need to concede that something bad is actually happening, I will just fall back on that? I'm not at all Islamophobic and collective punishment is fine.
If you talk about this at all, I'm going to keep accusing you of wanting the USA to invade China, a thing you never said. I will do everything possible to make this about everything BUT the mass oppression of an ethnic minority.
Oh, and btw, there's nothing wrong with forcing a linguistic/ethnic minority to learn the culture, language and history of the majority. Sure, the same thing happened in nations like Australia and Canada and was ruled a cultural genocide, but this is DIFFERENT.
All in all, I feel 100% justified in my abandonment of an ethnic minority to instead go for word-for-word parroting of the state's own narrative about what's going on. I am a critical genius.
Alright that's all the talking points, now I can just link this whenever a robot shows up in my mentions.
