Long Thread on #Mathura

This is a picture of the royal Idgah of Mathura taken in 1949, around the royal Idgah and around it the remains of a destroyed temple can be seen. Above these ruins is a notification board by ASI which reads as Krishna Janmabhoomi Apart from this...
The ASI board says that this is where Hindus believe the birthplace of their Bhagwan Krishna was This belief dates back thousands of years.

This place was once a magnificent Krishna temple In 1618 a temple was built by Raja Veer Singh Dev Bundela of Orchha at a cost of 33 lakhs.
Remember In those days for just 1 rupee 296 kg rice was available One can only imagine What would have been 33 lakhs during those days Aurangzeb destroyed the Krishna temple in 1670 And built this royal Idgah on top of its ruins.

Mathura came under British control in 1804.
The EIC auctioned the land and bought it for 45 lakhs by Raja Patnimal, a wealthy banker from Banaras. Muslims challenged the ownership of the land in court, but the Allahabad High Court ruled in 1935 in favor of Raja Patnimal's descendants.
Even after delivering the verdict in favor of the descendants of King Patnimal, they could not start the construction of the Krishna temple. Due to constant threats by local Muslims.

After 1947, Birla bought land and formed the Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust...
The Trust and Shahi Idgah Committee reached an agreement in 1968. This agreement recognized the existence of Shahi Idgah. Which was built on top of the original Krishna temple And which has no legal existence till then only after the agreement...
the royal Idgah mosque was restored to full functional status. It should be noted here that no Hindu organization or general public was consulted before reaching an agreement.

This was directly between the Birlas and the Shahi Idgah Committee.
The agreement gave Hindus a small piece of land south of Idgah. It was built here in 1982, the modern Krishna temple of Mathura. Needless to say that Hindus were cheated by this agreement,

For more information Hans Bakkar (1990) Read from The History of Sacred Places in India.
That is to say that the place where Lord Krishna was born, the Islamic vndrs made Idgah. Just like Babri Masjid was built on the birthplace of Bhagwan Shri Ram Ji These people have done the same thing in Kashi.
