The good news is the 2,750 tons of Ammonium Nitrate did not all explode. Tens of tons did not ignite.

The bad news and low level of competence is the fact that there were 10 tons of Fireworks low explosive pyrotechnic devices in the same warehouse 12+
The head of the customs Badri Daher and the director of the #Beirut harbour Hassan Qraytem were arrested (among others). One more big head to be held accountable.

The two responsible belong to powerful Lebanese political parties.
This indicates the level of incompetence at the #Beirut Harbour. Storing Ammonium Nitrate with low explosive pyrotechnic devices in one warehouse is a criminal act. https://twitter.com/ejmalrai/status/1291958546335178752

He was not informed of the danger of the AN, so no precautions were taken. https://twitter.com/ejmalrai/status/1291699068452900866
Fireman arriving at #Beirut Harbour to deal with the fire that was already picking up since over an hour opened the door, worsening the situation.

They were not informed what they would be facing and had no idea about the AN reaction to an increased level of oxygen.
