First, they seem to come from Anthoney Hill who was a holdover from Bobo and was fired after Addazio was hired.
The concerns regarding racism specifically mention pay for African American coaches and racist remarks...UNDER MIKE BOBO! Why not say anything when it happened under Bobo? You finally speak up after and your concern is that the new guy MIGHT do the same thing the last guy did?!
Hill also mentions concerns about “toxic masculinity” and Addazio telling graduate assistants “he doesn’t give a fuck about their feelings”.
I understand that probably makes some people uncomfortable, I’m not one of them. These claims seem indicative of a program that was soft and lacked discipline. After reading this I also wouldn’t be surprised if Hill was one of the anonymous sources for the Coloradoan article.
To be clear, there may be much more to this story and more accusations may come out, but this is a good reminder that we would all do well to wait for more information before assuming the validity of an accusation. That’s what I plan on doing. /END
