Liberalism isn't the issue.

Conservatism isn't the issue.

The issue is opportunists taking these ideas and warping them for personal gain.

How do they do it? By telling you that it's NOT ok to talk to the other side.

It's just that "liberals" have fallen for it this time.

I can't remember who wrote it, but there's a pretty good thread floating around out there that discusses how the left (I'm distinguishing from liberals) has been convinced that the right & centre cannot be talked to lest their ideas get into a leftist's head.

I think it's true.

I also think that conservatives/people on the right can't fall for that thinking, either.

It's what those disgusting opportunists want and it just continues the cycle.

So I hope that everyone to the right of the far left considers that or we're probably all fucked, imo.
