I'm still enjoying MK11 but I play a lot of games too so I am taking frequent breaks all the time.
Also I know that a lot of the issues people run into that seems to be game design like wake up buttons appearing to be invincible but its mistiming from playing online.

It makes it look like they are getting up with invincibility but its really from playing online with rollback netcode where you are lose frames from the full 60 frames of an animation do to rolling back the frames.
This is why its tricky to meaty cause the game is showing you a different part of the frames (in fact what its predicting is going to happen) instead of what is happening. This is why when we crouch throws and do a poke we still get grabbed despite knowing we crouched fully.
This is not MK11's fault this is rollback and how rollback has always worked. Yes rollback is not perfect.
Also rollback effects how games are made. There are certain move/animation types that are discouraged in development due to the design of rollback.

If anything be mad at the internet infrastructure of the USA.
You have to be able to tell when its the game and when its the environment (online) you are playing in.
Some complaints for MK11 are warranted but others I know isn't MK11's fault as it is from playing online.

I don't have any complaints about wake up buttons.
Wake up buttons is present in literally every fighting game.
I knew people would get too used to MKX offensive luxuries and in the future would have complaints if they switched closer to how most fighting games played.

In DOA wake up attacks are invincible. (dont require meter to do) They are also safe on block. Because you know this it allows the opponent to wake up with other actions. Its on you to space them out, block or do the proper meaty to control them.
Everyone I see complaining about wake up buttons are all trying to do slow start up strings on their opponents wake up when they should do single hit pokes. Why would you over commit to a string when there is wake up roll and you know how fast it is?
I feel like everyone complaining about wake up buttons would complain about MK9 and INJ1 wake ups even more.
Anyway I hope ppl start to open their minds up about how to approach the game.
Please watch to further understand rollback and why things happen the way they do: https://twitter.com/CoreAGaming/status/1290819268997574657
