I think it’s cool how Y2K has come back in fashion now. Fashion is cyclical so it was inevitable, but I think the timing is interesting. Y2K was all fear of technology taking over and 2020 so far has been necessary reliance on technology /fake deep/lol but really it’s like,

for me anyway, the Y2K trend is nostalgic as I grew up in that era but weirdly comforting to think of a time when we feared computers and felt the world was ending only for us all to have had nothing to fear in the end (yes, I know a lot of work went into “nothing” happening but

still my point stands for the majority of people). Anyway I’m always on here talking about how COVID is a very real threat and how much I hate Trump but I think somehow bringing myself back to a time when everything scary was nothing to be afraid of is comforting.
