Something about salvation is that, you didn't earn it by your works, but you can lose it by chosing to walk unworthy.
Denying Christ is not by the mere verbal affirmation, but in the life you chose to live in Him after receiving the knowledge of truth.

This is where we have the problem. Some in the name of the finished work & the perfect sacrifice for sin, in the name of "I only lose it if I deny Him verbally, therefore, no matter how much I sin I won't lose it"
If we say we have not sinned... & thus, continue living in sin...

Despising the grace of God & using it as a licence to sin. Even though they know that's outrightly walking in darkness & in the flesh
Is such a person still saved?
While he lives & repents. But if he dies in that state? He's going nowhere close to the kingdom of Christ & of God!

Then it tells us the severity of such:

& who has INSULTED THE SPIRIT OF GRACE?"

This is necessary to inspire reverential fear in us toward God. To work out our salvation with FEAR & TREMBLING. Not fear in terror, but out of reverence for God.

It behoves us now to make conscious efforts to perfect holiness in the fear of the Lord.
Hold fast to that which you've received!

Hey you, you're saved but you still battle with limitations, you've asked for forgiveness countless times & you're tired.
