As mentioned a few tweets ago, I bought a book of Psalms.
I'm familiar with it, having been raised Christian until I decided I wasn't widdit at around 12.
But seeing as I'm older now, I decided to purchase a copy for myself while replacing one for my best friend.

First off, let me clarify and say I am not a Christian.
I'm a Syncretist, but I resonate with Taoism most.
With that out of the way, let's look into the Etymology of the word, "Psalm"

For those who are unaware, the Book of Psalms was written with the intention of not just prayer, but prayer accompanied by music.

Well, I believe the Bible to be a book of many uses, with the more Esoteric application leaning into the power of words, intention, creation, and many other subjects that often get overlooked when translated literally.

With this in mind, I feel like it's important to have a 'toolbelt' of different methods for practicing the fortification of your mind, against malevolent forces.

This gives me the impression that anyone with the correct intention and mindset going into reading these writings will be able to draw strength from them

One of the clues you can lean into when practicing divination, intention, or any sort of 'esoteric' technique is how you FEEL on the inside as the action is taking place
I felt my entire vagus nerve light up as I read the prayer

I plan to continue using this book to consult certain situations, via the index, and see what comes of it
Honestly, I really think that these words 'set the stage' for your mind to notice details that will lead to a desired result
