apparently people are bringing up carson again so heres my take on the hyperfixation thing. As someone who has severe ADHD and hyperfixates on things, there is a very thick line between hyperfixation and making a creators life hell. 1/
you want to tweet abt them? fine go nuts. Dont tag them constantly, reply to all of their posts, and expect/demand attention from them as they (content creators) are not entitled to give it to you. 2/
SECONDLY on this issue, people are bringing up his "its ok to qrt art" tweet and like. as someone who does are (albeit infrequently) i agree! if you disagree that is also fine! HOWEVER. artists are not an opressed minority akin to LGBT people or POCs. 3/
people are allowed to share their takes and shouldnt be told they cant speak on it because they dont do art. the same thing would apply to content creators of any kind, which carson infact does. If someone qrts a smaller Youtubers work, they will get less views, same as art 4/
bottom line is that, IN MY OPINION, people are trying to cancel the dude because he isnt interacting with his fans how THEY want him to. the streamer/viewer relationship consists of the viewer getting content and the creator putting that content out. 5/
If they interact with fans, thats up to them but is not a mandatory part of their job.
