Went for my first post-lockdown restaurant meal last night. A few observations: we got a table outside, lovely night. Good distancing between tables. All the staff wore masks. Menu was an app on your phone.
Music was so loud both inside and out that you had no choice but to take off mask and literally shout just to be heard by your fellow diners. Loud talking is a good way to spread COVID.
There were 3 washrooms but they closed 2 at the same time for cleaning and said the sanitizer had to sit for 15 min. This forced us to line up inside for 1 washroom. There just wasn't space for people to line up 2 m. apart.
So while I loved dining out again, I suggest restaurants keep the music low (I know, I sound like an old fogey but COVID!) and try to clean one washroom at a time to cut down on lineups. And I recommend the oxtail stew :)
