-Ch.553 the Bone-Eater's Well disappeared at the Higurashi Shrine, Kagome's family wished for Inuyasha to save her. - Ch.555 Naraku is finally killed for good inside the Shikon Jewel.
Ch.557+explained in 558 ; Inu/Kag fought for their lives while trapped in the Shikon Jewel for 3 days before wishing for it to be destroyed forever, returning to the Modern Era. Inu realizes Kag still needs her family, leaving without her, cutting off the connection between times
- Kagome finish high school [3 yrs later] realizing that she'd rather be with Inuyasha, leaving her the modern era for the final time.
BONUS CHAPTER
- "Since Then" short, 6 months after Kagome's return.
- A landslide broke open a Kikyo sealed, powerful "Root Head" demon.

- "Since Then" short, 6 months after Kagome's return.
- A landslide broke open a Kikyo sealed, powerful "Root Head" demon.
- The demon's able to tract down Kagome as Kikyō's reincarnation/attack her, demanding the Shikon Jewel.
- Kaede shoots the arrow that had originally sealed it, which leads the crew to the main body.
- Inu/Kag destroy the Root Head, no longer needing Kikyō's bow, showing Kag

WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR
Not shown, but Towa's words; Root Head became connected to the Tree of Ages. From the "Affections Across Time" Movie, in the "Forest of No Return", neighboring forest of "Inuyasha's Forest" which holds The Sacred Tree. Both being near to Kaede's village.

- Kōga and Ayame married [anime only, but I assume it will be carried over for this anime, if they're ever even shown].
- All the original crew seem to be missing, including Sango/Miroku's twin daughters who are 2-3 years older when their brother Hisui [above in teal] was born.

- IMO he looks roughly 20+ years old, meaning this series is NOT 14 years later like everyone's saying. Making Kaede in her 80s not 70s. - Sesshōmaru's twins [Towa/Setsuna] are separated in a forest fire at age 4; It's stated all the girls haven't seen their parents in 10 years -
This event is most likely related to what made the OG cast disappear
- THO Setsuna seems to act a lot like her father/may have still been raised by him- I assume she will have some kind of memory loss besides not remembering Towa & may be why she acts more reserved in general.

- Well Towa acts more like Kagome, having been raised by Kagome's brother Sōta. Who's own daughter seems to be around 6-8 years old. I think it would be fun to see her be able to travel as well, though I doubt that would happen? Maybe while wishing to see Towa again.
- Hisui works as a Demon Slayer under his Uncle Kohaku, along with Setsuna and most likely Moroha [Inuyasha and Kagome's child, also 14].
- IMO Setsuna and Moroha are rivals? Probably work together like Miroku and Inyasha did after the main series.

- Moroha's design suggests that she inherited the Robe of the Fire-rat from her father; More than likely during the forest fire to keep her safe.
- The raccoon in the poster may be related to Hachi rather than Shippō - even less likely, badger demon Mujina

Though while Shippō was confused as a raccoon during the series, it would be funny if he ended up married to one.
- Though I think it would be better off if it was a standalone character?

- The mystery woman's golden brace reminds me of Princess Abi; Her purple tones remind me of Naraku and his Incarnations. Or even the Hyōga clan, which would match up with the connections to the Tree of Life. Though I doubt they would do anything like that.
- The fact that her blade is wrapped instead implies that it is most likely a spear, like Setsuna's Naginata, imo.
- Something cool, I think, that I'd like to see. While Inuyasha looses her demon power on the New Moon- if Moroha's demon powers grew on the night of the Full Moon.

- Towa/Setsuna's "random" hair streaks are actually an almost match to their father, grandfather AND grandmother's markings on their eyelids; appear either lighter/darker depending on the source.
AND If yall want to judge the thought of Sesshōmaru [900+ yrs old] being with Rin [11 at the end of the series] at a much later date... Then yall also need to judge Inuyasha [150+] for being with Kagome [18 at end], yeah?
- OR instead of just admitting you're a thirsty fangirl...
- OR instead of just admitting you're a thirsty fangirl...
- but yall aren't ready to talk about that!
- Much less, being ready to talk about Japan's major problems with marriage, how women are treated and the sexualizing of minors in general.
- BESIDES that, if you do the math, Rin was of age when she had the twins
- BESIDES that, if you do the math, Rin was of age when she had the twins
- And if you want to compare to modern law - that "equal" marriage didn't even come about until post-war in 1945 and took YEARS to break that mold
- but that still couples can get married as young as 16 [girl]/18 [male] with a parent's sign off to this day !! /FINISHED
