Sarri is the last person to blame for Juventus’ exit tonight
The first 2 people to blame are Fabio Paratici & Andrea Agnelli
Look at Juve’s squad; this exit is no surprise
The transfer policy & team building of Juve has been a disaster for at least 3 summers now 1/7

Juve have moved away from the team-building model we saw from 2011-16 to a corporate/Galactico strategy of signing 1 big star a summer at the expense of rest of team
CR7 2018, De Ligt 2019
It’s left Juve with a few superstars but a team full of gaps & ageing players 2/7

How many of the current Juve team would get into any of the teams from 2012 to 2017?
I would say only two. Ronaldo & Dybala.
That shows just how far Juve have fallen
How many of the current team would play for Bayern, City, Liverpool? 3/7

Juventus’ midfield has been horrible since 2016.
It was carried to 2017 CL final. It’s been a disaster since
Yet how much have Juve spent on CMs since 2017?
Not a penny in 3 years (til this Arthur accountancy deal). Only free transfers; Emre Can, Rabiot, Ramsey 4/7

Somehow Juve went from the world's best CM of Pirlo-Vidal-Pogba (Marchisio as backup) to this mess
Juve went from world's best DF to a right winger at right back, no backup left back & a backline that conceded 43 Serie A goals…the 2nd most in history for a champion 5/7

Agnelli may point to the 9 Scudetti in a row. And yes that's a dynasty
But that's minimum expected for a squad with double the salary of nearest rivals Inter
Serie A has not won a European trophy in 10 years. That's embarrassing & shows the level Serie A has been 6/7

The real test now is Europe & the decisions/policies at Juventus the last 3-4 years has seen the team get progressively weaker each year
This is the weakest Juve since 2011. It needs a mass overhaul this summer
If you're scapegoating Sarri, you're an idiot 7/7

Yes Juve are very unlucky to go out & were penalised by refs who should never ref again but the one positive to come from tonight is that Juventus are spared the hammering they would have got from Man City
With no Dybala, no Costa and this team, it would have been slaughter 8/8
