As a last ditch attempt to save the men, the IDF command ordered them to cram into the Namer armored personal carriers (APCs).

Then IDF artillery fired 600 high-explosive 155mm rounds AT THEIR OWN MEN, and air force jets dropped 100 MK-84 2000-pound bombs only 300 feet away.
