Following the threads re: whether writers should post on sm about successes/failures with interest. My contribution so far: as someone reading A LOT of queries, I truly do not base a damn thing on how many rejections/requests you've racked up prior. All that matters is our read.
I never ever want to speak for anyone else in this biz b/c it's wildly variable BUT I also don't know anyone who goes on Twitter and reads thru an author's TL to see what the process has been like for them so far after requesting a query?
That said, I totally remember applying for Ph.D. programs and crushing the soul out of my body reading LiveJournal forums (I old) w/people who had 17 acceptances to every Ivy in two weeks when I had a folder of rejections. It sucks! But I was also actively seeking that info out🤷‍♀️
The big thing that gives me pause is when I see authors on Twitter negging or flaming agents/editors because they got rejected. Even if they don't do it by name, it makes me really nervous.
