The criminalisation of children in care at this privately-owned children's home in Wiltshire must stop. Now.

This is an Esland Ltd home, which is always a red flag.
Staff rely on the police to help run the home and have actually brought charges against one of the children living here.
It is simply awful and unacceptable.
Private equity and the care of vulnerable children and young people simply do not go together. Local authority children's services need to face up to their statutory and moral responsibilities.
Esland North charged local authorities £12 million for care of children last year and earned profits of £2.4 million.

Esland is owned by August Equity, whose partners paid themselves £5.9 million last year.

Yet they can't provide a safe lock for a bathroom door.
