Some very short clips from my interview with @ggreenwald about how the OAS lied about the election in Bolivia, thereby creating the foundation for the military coup of November 10th.
Anybody who has ever watched an election return on CNN has probably seen results change as numbers from later reporting areas come in, for a variety of reasons. In 5 statements and reports, OAS never publicly considered this obvious possibility, most likely deliberately.
We did several statistical analyses of the election, but it was so simple you just needed 8th grade arithmetic from the beginning to show the OAS report was false. After their stats were debunked, they fell back on "irregularities," which all elections have.
The OAS made a similar contribution to destroying democracy in Haiti's 2000 and 2011 elections, all in public view. The Washington Post has this motto, "Democracy Dies in Darkness." But Democracy dies in broad daylight.
