Twitter is lying to us about its policy on state media.

I made a video explaining how while Twitter claims "we don't let state-affiliated media accounts advertise," it actually allows tons of sponsored tweets from US government propaganda outlets.

The double standard is extreme

In part two of this video I show how Twitter is taking huge sums of ad money to spread constant US government propaganda from the US Agency for Global Media, which admits that its first priority is to: "Be consistent with the broad foreign policy objectives of the United States"

Part three of this video shows how the US government's propaganda outlet @RFERL (which is not labeled by Twitter) was founded by the CIA as "Radio Liberation from Bolshevism."
