Reading comments in the LA times from non-porn people defending Ron Jeremy because he’s an ‘industry icon’ and women in his vicinity should ‘know better’ makes my skin crawl.
Letting someone get away with something because they’ve been doing it for decades...doesn’t mean it’s ok. I thought we covered this?
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg with how problematic it is how people seem to view Ron Jeremy as some kind of big teddy bear worth defending *over the women he’s abused.* it makes me want to scream.
Maybe if Harvey Weinstein was more kitschy, people would be defending him too. Either you believe the victims or you don’t, you can’t have it both ways.
