normalize captioning your videos & adding photo discriptions to your content!!!
here’s a free app you can download to add captions to your instagram story & videos, there’s other ones but this one is the most accessible for me to use but if there’s other ones, pls lmk and tell others!
also!! adding photo descriptions is also v v helpful to visually impaired people. how do you add it to your photos (specifically on insta) there’s a button right here

if there isn’t an option for alt text, just put “ [photo/image description: ____________ ] “ at the beginning or end of your image
making your content accessible is SO important and we need to work to make it the “norm.” add captions to your videos, add image descriptions to your photos
another thing would be when making informational texts posts & images, make sure the contrast between background & foreground is easily distinguishable
