MSU AD Kyle Moats on this morning's MSU Board of Governors call:
- Still waiting on a date with Oklahoma. He said he thinks they're waiting on the Big 12's start date. Expects to hear something from OU "by the weekend." He thinks it will be the 5th or 12th and not Aug. 29.

- MVFC Presidents call asked for input from the football players. Moats met with the Bears — without coaches —yesterday and the team was most-worried about how a shortened season, etc. will impact their eligibility.

"As of right now, it doesn't look like we're going to have the necessary 50% of those that have eligible teams in our championship at our level to have a championship in the fall...

Moats: "We, as a committee, are going to have to look at that and determine whether or not we can do something in the spring because kids want to know because if they know they're not playing for a championship because there's not one, they may not want to play."
