Rs 3,000- Avg daily charge to patient for bi-pap use
Hospital earns Rs 87.6 lakh per year from bi-pap machines
Recovers cost of bi-paps in 3-4 mnths
Other arbitrary ill charges used to earn big bucks
Medical records: Rs 500-1000
Medical history assessment: Rs 1,600
Nursing charge: Rs 1,000 -1,500
Biomedical waste disposal: Rs 500 -800
Care & hygiene: Rs 600 - 1,000
Equipment charge: Rs 1,000
Medical evaluation for TPA: Rs 500
Over and above all the above charges patients pay Rs 10,000-14,000 as ICU bed charges per day.
And still they claim they are treating Covid patients sustaining great losses???? Really???
In fact ABG is a big earner as it is needed for all ICU patients, Covid and non-Covid. About two tests a day.
