I'm excited to learn more, I'm excited to play it, and I trust Rocksteady.

But

I'd be lying if I said the pitch of Suicide Squad -- and yes, it's just a leaked pitch -- got my DC fanboy juices going.

Can I please be the Justice League rather than hunt the Justice League?

And before I go any further, this is all knee-jerk stuff. You're gonna see me geek out for this game as we learn more and get closer.

And yes, Superman's purple eyes lead me to think he/the League are not right in the head and that's why the Squad gets called in. (Eclipso?)

But

This is akin to saying "Hey, Greg! There's a new Ghostbusters game coming and it's co-op and Games as a Service... but you play as the ghosts trying to stop the Ghostbusters."

That's not the fantasy.

I don't want to be Deadshot or Killer Shark.

But

This is where I remind myself that Rocksteady knows what they're doing. I bet some of the Squad are JL members who aren't under mind control -- maybe we add the heroes we stop.

But Injustice, The Boys, the DCEU -- I have enough of the dark/gritty Superman and anti-heroes.

The world needs Superman now more than ever.

Maybe it's just this year.

Maybe it's just me.

I need hope.

Fanboy hat off, career hat back on.

I'm stoked Rocksteady is back. I have faith in them. I can't wait to see this game at DC Fandome.
