"I don't think I'm good at it but I really like doing it" is an attitude I've learned to adopt and it's made me so much happier. the things you like doing don't have to become skills that you need to improve. you can just do it for the sake of doing it.
hobbies don't have to become skills necessarily. I love singing and baking and painting. I can take classes or learn from someone who is more versed. or I can just do it for myself bc it feels good doing it. there's no "need" to get better at these things.
i think it's important to have at least one hobby that is like that for you. obviously, wanting to improve is something admirable and in some cases necessary! but have one thing that you love to do for yourself, freely.
as some ppl have pointed out- as you keep doing your thing, you might even improve without realizing! and it's awesome to be motivated to improve! but don't let a fear of not getting better deter you from just doing what you love.

I hope I validated some of y'all today đź’•
